3p hitch lower lift arm attachment bolts - replace with pins & clips?

These come in three different strengths equal to SAE bolts...

No color or black is a grade 2 (5.8M) (74,000 PSI)

Red painted pins are grade 5 (8.8M) (120,000PSI)

Blue painted pins are grade 8 (10.9M) (150,000 PSI)

Red are fairly common at least in my area. They are available in a wide range of diameters and lengths. While I would be hesitant to use for the backhoe based on what the dealer told you, I can see no issue with using them for the 3 PH arms.

Perhaps a little off topic but---
I keep a cluster of aluminum wire (from local Hydro truck) to 'safety wire' all my clips, hairpins etc in place.
Has worked out well 4 me.
Got fed-up losing pins!
