3PH forks and weight

Built a 3PH plate to attach my forks or counterweight. Don't have a picture of the forks just yet but they are a set I got from work of an old forklift. They are 4' long and good for 8000lbs, so I don't think i'll break or bend them. The weight, I built a form and got an old piece of six inch channel and welded some rebar to it and cast it in concrete. It weighs about 350lbs. I cut the lip off the channel to mimic the same lip as the forks have. That way I just back up to it and hook on without getting off the tractor, same with the forks. I cut the bottom lip off the forks so that I can just drop them on the ground without sliding them off each time. I will post a picture or two tommorrow of what I did and my reasons why.

I've also gotten a hydraulic toplink last winter as well in conjunction with the forks. I use my original remotes for this as well as the BH when it's on the tractor. I'll try and post some pictures of this as well tommorrow.

Here's a couples pictures of the forks. You can see that I cut off the bottom hook of the forks. I did this so that I could just drop them and pull away (I know it's the lazy man's way). I figured that as long as the forks were level or slightly tilted back that they couldn't bounce off as the potruding lip will keep them from doing so. Also there's a slim chance that I would be traveling fast enough to bounce anything off anyway.

Hear is a little tip for you, The pallet you store your forks on, take a 2X4 and set it on the pallet were the tip of your blades rest. This will leave the top catch of your blades close to your carriage when you go to hook and unhook to your blades
