I have a BX2200 with cat 1 3PH. I noticed today after having problems getting attachments on and off that the bottom arms are not the same height. See picture. Okay, so there's a turnbuckle type adjustment on the right side arm link that allows you to adjust it up or down so now it's level with the other arm.

But why, oh why, do they have this adjustment? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif The link for the left arm is of fixed length and the two arms move independant of each other. I can't think of any time when I would want my lower link arms to be different heights. What am I missing?

Well, you are missing many things. What if you had a rear blade that did not have a tilt feature--you could tilt it with your adjustable arm. What if your implement is not level to the tractor, you level it with your adjustable arm. What if you wish to tilt one edge of your boxblade in for a v shaped cut--you adjust your adjustable arm. What if the implement you have is made by KK and it has a warp in it like my KK rotary cutter--voila--I level it with my adjustable arm. It is there cuz the world is not square and level and neither are the tasks that many tractors need to perform nor the implements we attach to them. J

D'oh! It makes perfect sense now that you explain it. I guess I just never considered that the world could be anything other than square and level. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Thanks

Of course it's not square and level. Everyone knows it's flat and round. Silly tractor guys. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Flat & round. Is that so?? Now I know what I've been doing wrong all these years.............................
The adjustable link is as described in previous posts. Another member, ges, reccomended adding another adjustable link on the left side as well. The cost for the additional link; $25 or there abouts. Allows you to adjust it all over the place if you want. Mine is sitting at the dealer waiting to be picked up.

If I had this much trouble figuring out one I'll never be able to handle two! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
