My 3PH lever has stopped working, either for bringing the 3PH up or for letting it down. It feels like it's not engaged.

I checked the linkage and where it fits over the shaft going into the casing, there's a pin insert that looks to be most of the way out toward the front of the tractor. It wouldn't push back in. I tried inserting a slim nail in the other end of the hole to engage what I assume is a shaft in there, and it went in quite a way but made no difference. The lever moves far more easily than it usually does and seems disengaged. Any ideas on what to try before I haul it into the dealer?

It would help knowing what model tractor you have.

You're probably going to need to take it in. There is a peice under the 3-pt cover that breaks that is likely the problem.

Sometimes wiggling the front bucket will help will free up the 3PH.
