Newby question here..

Is the 3PH powered by hydraulics that is the same hydraulics pump that would run the loader hydraulics?...

Hence if I bought a tractor without a loader but it has a functioning 3PH...would I have to buy a new hydraulics pump if I bought a used loader?
Hope that makes sense...

Generally there is a "power beyond" port on the 3ph pump that is used to power FELs..., rear remotes etc...

So a tractor with loader would have two hydraulic pumps? One for the 3PH and another for the loader?

Would most "common" JD and Kubota be "ready" to add a loader hydraulic pump somewhere on the engine- typically?

A HST Tractor will have will have two pumps. One for your power steering, the other for everything else i.e. Moving forward or reverse, or loader operation etc. Does that help some. What model are you looking at? Tractordata.com is a resource too.

No and no to answer your questions in order...

Can't comment on JD but K_ubotas have ports on the existing 3PH /main hydraulic pumps (also runs steering etc) to "tap" into the system for things like loaders and rear remote SCVs...

If a loader has never been installed it usually just requires an adapter plate (available from the dealer) with pressure and return ports for plumbing a loader etc...

I am in the early stages of looking at many Kubotas and JD.

While a loader would be nice I am mainly going to use it for mowing a 7 acre pasture, so I want to make sure I get the best mowing tractor for my buget.....but.....I also want to educate myself on what it would take to add a loader in the future.

I am real familiar with tractor data.com. which is a great site for specifications, but it does not (that I can tell) listed what it takes to add things like a loader, other than listing it as an option. (Hope that makes sense and does not come across as rude. )

I'm just trying to learn...and I really appreciate the help. Great forum guys

I owned a D4 cat for years but never a tire tractor....

Are you looking new or used not that it matters but if you buy new, I'd seriously consider a loader. So many uses for it, but to each their own. If all your going to do is mow, a Zero Turn mower is a good option too. The tractor is really versatile to be able to do more than just mow. I love mine and it's like having a Swiss Army knife for our property. The property looks better, the horses have groomed rings and have a healthier environment , and things get done much quicker and easier , and it's fun.

so if I understand what has been posted her (thanks!) the Kubotas typically have a "beyond" port off the hydraulics that makes it a bit easier to "tap" in to to run hydraulic attachments like a FEL.

But JD require a bit more work, like purchasing a Beyond Power kit.

I know it really depends on the particular model, but I am not set on requiring any particular brand, let a long a particular model, I just am trying to learn what to look for when I buy one if it doe not have a FEL so I know how much work and money it will be to add one - possibly - in the future.

I am going to try to see if there is any postings on guys who have added a FEL on their machines and see if I can learn from them...

Thanks.
