Backhoe 3pt backhoe

3pt backhoe

I have a kubota m4900 and would like to have a backhoe on it. my question is do these tractor mount backhoes like rhino , woods etc have power , like a regular backhoe has . I live in northern new york and I have rocks to remove also tree stumps . can these do the job .if so can anybody steer me in the right make that is of good quality, thanks

How much time do you have? A large stump can take half a day or all day or not budge.

These light duty backhoes have a lot of power....enough to
toss a compact utility tractor around. So a major factor is
weight. Your machine is prob around 5000 lb naked. I use
7.5-ft Prairie Dog hoes on several compact tractors much
lighter than yours. You will never have the productivity of
an industrial machine with a compact TLB setup, but you can
still do a lot of work with them nonetheless.

,thanks for your reply drkrug my m4900 is 7500 lbs with loader and filled rear tires . the kubota hoe is 1975lbs .so I am looking at about 9400lbs total.I have some weight but can the hydraulics pull stumps if I cut 2 sides with hoe bucket. my friend has a 1980 jd 410 hoe this machine has power and weight ,is approx. 14000lbs ,if I could have half of that machine I would be happy. never used one of these types of hoe before.so a little leary about spending $7000 or so on a hoe if it will not do what I want
