Point of info: I recently bought new blades for my chipper from Affordable. Of the 3 blades only one matched the original in thickness. The anvil was only a tiny bit thinner - no problem, but one of the knives was a full mm [0.040"] thinner.I was able to exchange the thin knife for a thick one. The thing is, neither Affordable nor Ranch Hand had been aware of this variance in the supply of these parts.

I'm lucky that I know a hobby machinist and will just have him make new knifes when I ever need them.. When the current set gets dull I'll have him put an edge back on both sides. Then after that make new knifes.
