3pt drawbar?

Hello,
This attachment came with my case D45 tractor when I bought it used. It appears to be some kind of 3pt attachment with a drawbar. What is puzzling me is why it is rectangular, rather than triangular?

I was going to use this to haul a woodmaxx 9900 PTO drive wood chipper.

It doesn't look like a quick connect, but I think it will do the trick for my purpose.

Any comments appreciated.

It appears to be a variation of what most people call a "Quick Hitch" (QH).... Its rectangular so the locking lever/arms/bars can function in straight up/down motion...If it were triangular it would require you to wrestle with hardware when making the 3PH connections...

That's a quick hitch with a drawbar stuck in it.

The bar with the holes in it is intended as a drawbar for towed implements with a clevis hitch. Remove it, then you can attach your quick hitch to any compatible 3-point implement.

It looks like a Harbor Freight quick hitch. I had one, useful for a few years and then it came apart.
