3pt Sand thrower ?

Anyone use a sand thrower on their 3 point hitch ?
Wondering how the unit tractorsupply sells would do for throwing sand...I think it's a King Kutter ?
Any reccomendations ?

I was at Townline Equipment week ago and notice two sanders on back Kubota..maybe Bob or Drew let you try one there.

I think they are mostly used for salt and ice melt. I think sand will clog them up

botayota--if you're talking about the cone shaped spreaders, I've had one and used it for the last five years. I use a mixture of 90% sand and 10% ice melt on my quarter-mile drive and never had a clog. Blower on the front, spreader on the back has been a great combo for me. Regards, Mike

i tried one of thoughs con fertilizer spreaders it worked great after i modifie the spinner but it only lasted 2 seasons then it rotted out .herd seeder co inc sells a nice salt sand spreader but its expensize .
