I just finished moding my older Farm King blower with a chute deflector, rotator, and a stand off for the hoses. I say older but not much has changed over the past 20 years on these things. I believe this is a 93' model

I added the 4th and 5th function spool valves a couple months ago so that I would still be able to use the 3rd funtion to run the angle on the plow of the loader.

What model Deere is that? The blower looks great, I hope to add the hydraulics to mine one day. How do you like the location of your control levers? What brand and model valve is that? I am looking to add 2 rear remotes on my 2520 and am looking for ideas on control valve style and placement. Any more pics of your control valve?

Kevin,

It is a 3520. The valve is a prince wolverine 2 spool with a power beyond port. I used 1/4inch couplers because all the cylinders I plan on using with the extra functions I want to move at a slow to medium pace. I'll tell you how much I like the placement after the winter, but I am always looking backward when adjusting things that are behind the tractor so it seems comfortable to me. I have the 3rd function lever next to the FEL control joystick and that was a bigger pain because it was an uncomfortable reach when looking backward.

Nice job. The only thing that has changed is the rotator bracket location.

Bubbacuse,
Man you got alot going on there but I think I follow it because i recognise some of the parts. I've got a JD 4310 with PB and the 3rd scv ports.

So the new 2 spool is fed from the PB circuit, no interference with the 3 pt function???

What is the line going in at the far left, that port is normally used for BH on my machine.

If I'm getting this right, that looks like the easiest way for me to get 2 more sets of remotes.

By looking at my picture, does it look like I have the same components as yours to start with? if so how much would it cost me?

I did the 3rd scv myself, but that was a kit. I've been intimidated considering more remotes since there is no kit for that, and has to be planned out.

JB

Thanks. I just found your post on the valve!

Did you have to add any restrictors or flow control devices to those actuator lines to keep the speed low when you applied pressure to the cylinders? I've been looking at adding hydraulic chute rotation to my ARPS Model 70 and I can't find the special double ended OEM cylinder that was originally used so I've been looking at 2 in cylinders, but I'm concerned about the speed given the available flow at normal blower speed. I figure I'll have to put orifii in the lines or adjustable flow controls.

Nice job. The only thing that has changed is the rotator bracket location.

Will I think they did that because of the telescoping 3pt connection on the newer models like yours. Besides that they also changed the chute so it could be converted to accept a Hydrualic cylinder. Mine was manual with wingnuts on both sides.......that is why they have the holes if you look close. I had to do some cutting and switched the hinge from top to bottom on the movable section of the deflector. Thanks for the kind words and pictures. These things are built so simple and heavy duty that as long as someone doesn't let it rust out it will last forever with easy to get extra parts. I replaced a bearing and that only cost me $10 because it was a standard farm bearing.

Very nice job. I am pretty skilled but not knowing much about hydraulics I have stayed away from adding more functionality. On a difficulty scale 1-10 how difficult? Also where did you get the toolbox?
