Bubbacuse,
Man you got alot going on there but I think I follow it because i recognise some of the parts. I've got a JD 4310 with PB and the 3rd scv ports.

So the new 2 spool is fed from the PB circuit, no interference with the 3 pt function???

What is the line going in at the far left, that port is normally used for BH on my machine.

If I'm getting this right, that looks like the easiest way for me to get 2 more sets of remotes.

By looking at my picture, does it look like I have the same components as yours to start with? if so how much would it cost me?

I did the 3rd scv myself, but that was a kit. I've been intimidated considering more remotes since there is no kit for that, and has to be planned out.

JB

JB- Yours is exactly the same. You won't need to do anything with your 3rd function......that is already plumbed. All I did is at another valve by using the power beyond just like you have looped back there. The point of buying a valve that has power beyond(AKA High Pressure Carry Over) port is so you can put a valve down stream of it. In this case the rock shaft for the three point. The hose on the far left is the return to tank for the new valve. It is there just for that reason from JD. JD has the power beyond kit so that you can put the backhoe on your tractor and that valve on the backhoe that runs all the backhoe functions is a valve with a power beyond port and a return to tank port. The Power beyond port is important because it carries high pressure to the following valve without putting pressure on the backside of the valve when a down steam valve is activated. Most valves are not designed to handle high pressure on the return side. By return side I mean the side that allows the fluid that is coming from the cylinder to flow out.

So with this valve and the one probably on your loader, whenever you activate a cylinder the returning fluid being pushed out of the cylinder from the side that is being compressed goes through that return to tank port and this isolates that part of the valve from the the high pressure carry over so that there is never high pressure where it shouldn't be. The only valve that doesn't need a power beyond port is the last one in the line before the fluid returns to the tank.

there is allot about this kind of thing in hydraulics forums. May guys use regular valves without power beyond ports and are asking for valve problems and leaks.

Sorry for the long answer.........I hope I made some sense of that for you.

Nice Job!

Did you have to add any restrictors or flow control devices to those actuator lines to keep the speed low when you applied pressure to the cylinders? I've been looking at adding hydraulic chute rotation to my ARPS Model 70 and I can't find the special double ended OEM cylinder that was originally used so I've been looking at 2 in cylinders, but I'm concerned about the speed given the available flow at normal blower speed. I figure I'll have to put orifii in the lines or adjustable flow controls.

Jerry, No I didn't, I used 1/4" couplers and hoses for everything however and that seems to put the speed in check.

Very informative, sounds fairly simple, or I should say at least it looks fairly simple.

Do You have a thread on your install? If not, how much for the valve and where did it come from?

I don't have an immediate need but with extra remotes, I may find some use, I was thinking about a pto blower.

Thanks JB.

Very nice job. I am pretty skilled but not knowing much about hydraulics I have stayed away from adding more functionality. On a difficulty scale 1-10 how difficult? Also where did you get the toolbox?

you can buy the 4th and 5th function kit from JD for the tune of $1200 before install, but if you have a power beyond port on the back of your tractor you can do what many others have done and add a valve. I would say it is a 5 on the difficulty scale if you need to do all the research. The real pain is gathering all the parts. If you do a search for rear remotes or aux spool valve you will come across more than a few fellas that have done this.

The Tool box is just a generic tractor tool box off of Ebay. I saw that someone else used one of these and liked the looks painted in JD Green. I also added a medium sized ammo can that is waterproof and bolted it to the where the step would go on the right side of the tractor.

you might need to zoom in a bit to get a look.

Nice job. The only thing that has changed is the rotator bracket location.

my old farm king was exactly like yours..... had a different rotator location. I didnt have the hyd upper deflector though.
