OK.... So somewhere there is a post about the 3pt thatch rake I built.... It worked OK, but not great....
So now this is revision 1..... I spread the rows of teeth from 4" to 11" apart... There are now 3 rows of teeth... A little over kill, it is quite aggressive... But I did all this for a reason....
The rake assembly can be turned around on the 3pt frame and pushed ahead of the mower deck..... As soon as I get around to building a front 3pt lift assembly for my tractor..... I will get to that eventually....
The rake also worked well on my rutty, wet gravel driveway....
Things I learned..... I bent the last 1" of the rake teeth forward on the first build.... I learned I don't need to do that anymore.... I used those bent teeth, because I had them, but will replace with strait ones as needed.... The wider spacing is a lot better at self cleaning when it is raised. And does not clog very easily.
Good luck
