Its not intimidating looking. I am am just looking for an all inclusive kit that does it it all at once. i guess I can boil it down like this, money not being an object which would you choose?

There is no "all in one" kit. There is not even a "kit" to add more than one true rear remote-JD only offers one.

Call WR Long and get a price for the true 3rd function valve-it's probably in the $600 range and can be ordered through your dealer.

Whats you opinion on preference. I think I could justify either price wise but want to use what works best and easiest,

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. Seems to be set up for a more seamless operation.

I understand your reservations about using that lever for a grapple since you'd have to take your hand off of the joystick to operate the grapple.

Unless you were really doing production work, I think the lever on the fender would be just fine for occasional grapple work. Drive into the pile and clamp down on the load.

For me I would just make a top jaw type grapple to use with a high capacity bucket.

I have the grapple (pic attached). I just am trying to decide the best (not necessarily easiest) way to go about adding 3rd function to control grapple. I also want to add TNT and outlets to rear later so I am not sure if doing the prep and valve work all at once would be easiest or not. Please weigh in here. I like the idea of the W.R. Long kit with the ability to control the grapple without having to remove my hand from the joystick. I am dumb when it comes to the hydraulic set up that is currently in place so anyone who has already accomplished this and can help me learn from their successes/mistakes will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

That looks VERY heavy...how much does it weigh?

Try searching these terms here in the hydraulices forum since I assume I have not answered your questions well enough:

grapple
4n1
remote
WR Long
diverter
remote
3rd function

Your information has been very helpful. I am just trying to piece it all together. Not too heavy but I haven't weighed it.

That's why I suggested you search...this has all been covered before;)

As for the TnT, here are two threads that use a diverter to "split" the one rear remote (3rd SCV option I mentioned above) into two rear remotes to control the two cylinders for Tnt. It's a very cost-effective solution.
