3rd Function Hydraulics

You have a diverter, it's manual :)

Those ball valves jumped right out at me too. even steel plumbing fittings, designed for water service are frowned upon by those that know hydraulics.
A brass housed valve looks like an accident waiting to happen.

What could those things be designed for 250psi max ???

If you see 600 WOG on the casting, it means 600PSI Water-Oil-Gas; but 600PSI is far from the ~2,000+ PSI rating of most hydraulic systems. The valves could say 150 WOG or 300 WOG, etc; but don't expect plumbing valves to be pressure rated for hydraulic systems. Also temperature affects the pressure rating, and I suspect hydraulic systems at operating temperature run hotter than your average Domestic Hot Water system. Calling those ball valves an accident waiting to happen is being polite.

The other thing the OP needs to know is that hydraulic NPT fittings and plumbing NPT fittings may have the same thread designation and screw together; but the hydraulic fittings have tighter thread tolerances, better materials used in the fitting, better finishing and plating specs and so on.
