3rd function

OK, guys, before this thread got kind of "hijacked" I was trying to figure this out. Please remember that the only reason I'm not a "complete" idiot is because some parts have broken off, worn out, or have been removed.
I am wanting to add a grapple to my Kubota L2800 with the LA463 FEL and a BH76 backhoe. I don't know what would be best, but I'm understanding J J to say that a "selector" to use the bucket curl function instead of some other option would be more efficient. So if I buy one of those valves, it goes between the FEL controls (the line going to the cylinders that curl the bucket) and those cylinders? So I'd need the valve, some way to hook it up to the FEL controls, lines to go to the grapple, and some type of mount to put it on, and keep it out of the way? (If the valve I'd need is $313, once I buy the lines, fittings, switch, wiring, and mounts, and not including the two or three 30 mile one-way trips I know I'll make back to town for whatever stuff I forgot to get, I'd be crowding the $500 range, right?)

If your GPM output is about 8 GPM, then you can use this less expensive valve. It is about $149. A few hoses and fittings. and a switch.

I looked up your hyd flow, and it is 6.8 GPM, so you can use the cheaper valve.

The above valve is not in stock right now, and I will find another similar one.

Well, I'm feeling kind of froggy today, so I'm planning to make a stab at doing this via the "build-it" route. I really appreciate the input here, I'll probably be back with more questions after I get all the parts in, and make some brackets and so forth. This weekend's project, unfortunately is something I'm more at home with than hydraulics, I've got to go load up my wife's tractor (yeah, his n hers tractors) out in the pasture, and replace a broken steering knuckle arm.

been a couple of years.....how did it go? I need to add a 3rd function to my Kubota also for a root grapple

I have a Kubota L48 HST with a leveling valve on the loader I want to put a 3rd function on the loader I can not figure out what hoses to hook in yo all the kubota kits say with out backhoe with you will need to find more hoses and fittings well I may as well build it my self so Help
