Your loader valve already has a third spool. This kit includes includes everything you need to make use of it.

This is only true on the mid and larger machines, not the small framed tractors.

The third SCV kit (pictured below) comes with it's own valve, but I am not sure how it hooks up since the lines appear to go from the IN/OUT ports to the work ports in the diagram :confused2::confused:

Has anyone done this? I found this option on the deere site:
Third selective control valve kit

it says 'kit does not include a valve' -- i'm confused. What does this kit actually do?

I am stumped:mad:

I can't figure this out it JDParts...unless there is something new in the works since this was just updated in April?

Strange, I'm going to ask my dealer about it. Was thinking about adding a small cylinder to my 3pt to get the 'tilt' portion of 'top 'n tilt'.

Kenny, that picture you posted is awesome. Its like the mobius strip of hydraulics.

This is only true on the mid and larger machines, not the small framed tractors.
My fault. Didn't seem to make any sense otherwise...

However, this is towards the bottom and explains everything I think:
NOTE: Designed to work independently of the loader, the 3rd SCV kit does require LVB25603 power beyond kit to function.

EDIT: Duh, no, that still doesn't explain what the lever controls....

From the description again:
Allows using third spool on selective control valve

Are you sure the loader valve doesn't have a third spool? Cause which spool is it referring to then?

I wish I knew:confused2:

Look a the picture below, there is only two spools. It's the same basic setup as my 4110...

Kenny, like you said of the mobius picture, that has a valve. And the description of the kit says its supposed to hook to the Power Beyond. That makes perfect sense and would work.

So I think the link posted by Phunge is just wrong in that a valve is not included. The valve IS included. It kind of looks like someone at Deere just cut-copy-pasted the description of the kit from another tractor model.

What a mess.

Just run an electric diverter valve with a button on your joystick to control it and a set of ports at the back of the machine. I did and use it for the chute rotator on my blower and hyd top link in the summer. Cost abt $800.00 cdn and a few hrs of work, only had to drill 2 holes to mt the diverter. But as they say for every problem there are a thousand solutions.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

hi Saskman -- do you have any pictures of your setup? What do you use the hydraulic top-link for?

I was thinking of doing this to my 2320 also and found this kit LVB26166. To me it appears to connect underneath the loader control valve, I checked on mine and its has two allen head set srews plugging two holes with I'm thinking is where it hooks up. I posted some pics of the set-up and beak down.

Yes those two plugs on the SCV are for the power beyond kit also, so this new SCV will will only work if you never intend to have that or a backhoe. You will also have the remove the SCV to install the internal plug, #3 in the second diagram, it forces the fluid to go to the OUT port and through the new valve (or PB kit, it's the same plug used there also).

Brian at FitRite hydraulics may have a kit that offers more spools for a similar price, a lot has changed since 2010 when this thread was started.

Thanks kennyd, is this something that I can install myself? I have basically no hydraulic experience.

Take a look here. I have done these with as many as 5 valves so far. If you are mechanically inclined at all, this should not be a problem for you. Seems like 3 sets of remotes is the most common though. ;)

Yes, this is a good DIY job. Don't get intimidated just because it's hydraulics, it's still just wrench turnin'

I'd like to do it myself. Meaning buy a valve and run all the hoses and connection myself rather then bying the JD kit. Reason for this is because I would like at least two SCV at the rear of the tractor.

Does anyone here have a 2320 with a 3rd SCV installed? If so can you post some pics of exactly where the hoses need to connect to the loader valve. It would be greatly appreciated.
