Do any of you 4310 owners out there have the 3rd SCV on your tractor? If so, how much was it? My dealer priced it out at $525. Ouch! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It was around $250-300 but I got it at the same time as everything else which makes a diference. They ended up getting an aftermarket valve because they couldn't get one from Deere, and they did try. All they could get from JD was the plumbing for it. Pretty weird.

On my 4210 the LVB25084 3rd SCV shows as $200 additional for my purchase order, installed at the factory. I didn't realize it would cost that much to add later on.

I bet you could install it yourself because the valve is like 300 bucks as stated then all you do is take off the rear wheel and plumb it in. My dealer had the wheel of the 4300 and fender and that was about it. Maybe the dealer would let you look at the installation instructions or a tech manual for the 4310 to see if you want to tackle it yourself. Just a thought.

Yeah sorry to say that is probably the right price installed at the dealer. I priced the 4th and 5th remotes for my 4710 and they wanted a mind boggling 2100 for these twomore remotes I suppose it is because they use an electronic diverter and that is more$$$$$ for my 110 tlb it cost 2100 from the factory with the one in the front along with the 3 in the rear and another for the one on the dipperstick so they are definately proud of the scv's. I ended up puting on selector valves since I already had the 3rd and got my 4th and 5th that way plus a ran two to the front . Not sure if you could do the same kinda thing since you have nothing to start with? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I need to talk to my dealer again. I got the impression that was me giving him the cash and him handing me the box or parts and me doing it myself. I had ask him when I bought the tractor how much it would be to add later and he was in the $200 to $300 range.

Lesson:

When any nice person asks about a setup on one of these here machines, we are all gonna suggest they get all the plumbing done at the factory. It just costs more done at the dealer, and even more after the initial purchase.

There are rumors about big changes in the Deere lineup. I think one part of that is that they will come fully plumbed as std. equipment. That would save everybody a lot of hassle and Deere probably would sell more attachments.

Brent,

I recently installed the third SCV on my 4310.
I did this over the Christmas Holidays.
The parts kit for this is part number LVB25084
and on the John Deere parts web site it is listed at $240.
My dealer's parts book had it listed at $200 and he gave me 10% off
of so I got it for $180 plus state sales tax.

Did you see my thread elsewhere on putting this on?
I did it myself and it wasn't too bad of a job
