It may be that way so cannot drive off with the door open and break the glass at the hinge when hit a bump??

Good thought, but they were kind enough to put a nice handle & gas strut on the LH door...If your theory would be correct, I'd say they woulda done the same to both doors...

You know...thats the ONLY complaint I have about my entire tractor...its a PITA even just using that door to vacuum out the floor...I have that door locked and I never use it other then to open it to yell out commands, LOL.. I dont think it would have added 100.00 to the cost of the tractor had they put the handle/gas cylinder to hold it open.

Yeah, that is the truth. I do the same thing that you do, lock it until I need it. I don't yell but my sign language seems to be working. I also got a pair of cheap "Modern Walkie Talkies" so I can speak to those people who exist outside of the CAB:rolleyes:. seems they are constanly orbiting the CAB and mouthing words I cannot hear!;). Ah well it is good to hear the overkill club is alive and well.

LOLOLOL...same here, rather then get those walkie talkies i'd rather get a speaker/megaphone system...that way I can talk to them but I cant hear them..... "Whoops Honey, I didnt know you wanted to keep THAT tree"....:D

Nuru, proping your right side door open will only make it loose. If you look at the hinges you will see that they are not all that heavy and you may even break them by running with the door open. I can't understand why you would want to run with the door open???

Sincerely, Dirt

Kiwiroo, thats one of my big complaints about the 3x20 tractor is it does ride rough...............or at least rougher than my old JD 870. Even my 12 year old son complains about how rough it rides. I'm not sure why it rides rougher, other than maybe the difference in the R4 & R1 tires. The front end on the 3520 also doesn't seem like it has as much travel and doesn't follow the ground as well.

Sincerely, Dirt

Dirt, I actually don't want to run with it open, it is just sometime I don't want to have to open the "winDoor" on the right side when I fiddling about with the controls and implementes and I want to just reach in and adjust something or shut the tractor off.

With the R4s on it, it definitley was kinda of a real manly ride, but with the Turf Specials it is almost too smooth. It also seems to bounce a bit too much so far. One thing I did notice is that the rear axles appear to be 2" less in width than the 4310 I had, as the Rears go out to only 64" instead of 66" like my 4310.

Have any of you tried the air ride seat or know if it helps a lot?

I have the air ride seat on a 3720 with filled R4's. Air pressure is adjustable in the seat so one can adjust for comfort to an extent. I'd hate to have the standard seat as it rides a somewhat rough even with the air seat.
