Oil & Fuel 3x20 Front Axle Oil

The O.M. recommends HyGard in the front axle?

I know my 955 is an old one, but the recommended lube for the axle in that one is gear oil; HyGard is only used for the hydraulic system.

RM - yes HyGard in front axle. I couldn't find the same chart that is in my manual, but here is an online page for the 3520 that shows that the Transmission and front axle use J20C or J20D:

Wow, Jeff. I guess me and my 955 are just old fuddy-duddies...
That just seems so weird NOT to use gear oil in there.
Oh well, I'm constantly learning!!
