4 bladed fan for a Ford 1300 needed

   / 4 bladed fan for a Ford 1300 needed #31
For the fan belt, I just took my old one and went to a Parts America in my area, I knew the guy and he suggested me to go to the back of the store and try to find something that matched, after 5-10 minutes of search I found the perfect match for the Alt/water pump belt under $10. I don't have the sku # here at work, I posted it before but can look it up at home if anyone wants it.

JC,

Done the same thing for lower and upper radiator hose, on lower needs to be trimmed about 3/4".

Same thing happened to me. Got a new pump, still no 4 blade fans. The dealer told me to get a generic fan from the auto parts. Hmmm.... this thread started in 2006 and now its 2010... so hopefully this says two things, this rarely happens and I can actually find a generic fan that fits. Any ideas?

Just an Idea. If you cant find a fan you may look into an electric fan. You will have to measure your radiator fins to see what size will fit and check with an auto parts dealer or auto junk yard. Most come with a shroud but some will not, it will need one for best preformance. The hook up is simple. You will need a switch, 4 prong 30 amp relay, in line fuse, and some wire. After you mount the fan snd find s plsce to mount the relay close to the fan, run a fused lead from hot post of battery to #30 post on relay then run a lead from #87 post to the hot wire on fan. determine where you want to mount the switch then tie into a keyed hot wire (I usually use the hot wire running into the light switch. A keyed wire is one that is only on when the switch is on. Connect this lead to on post on the switch. Run another lead from the other switch post to the #86 post on relay. Then ground #85 post on relay and ground the ground wire on fan. The wires running from and to the switch only pull a small amount of amps and only works the relay so they can be smaller. Would be best to put a low amp (7amp)fuse near the switch between it and the relay. I would use at least a 10ga wire for the rest. This set up will allow you to manually turn on the fan only when the key is on or you could just not use a switch and run a fused lead fron a keyed hot wire to the #86 post, but fan WILL run whenever the switch is on. Post #'s86 and 85 works the relay to connect the circuit between post #s 30 and 87. I use the same wireing on all my alux lighting as it does not overload the existing circuits. Most relays post's are marked. Also you may have to get different bolts to secure the water pump pulley since you will not have the thickness of the fan.
