With a ck25 I think you should get 5' not a 4'

The TSC flier that was in last weekend's newspaper has the 5 foot King Kutter tiller for $1249.99 until 3/22/08. I think I am going to pick one up. I don't think they will show a price for the tillers on their web site. Good luck on your decision.

manofaltes: TSC had the KK 5' for $1249?! Hmmm. I was in the local (Geneseo NY) TSC yesterday looking at the exact same thing and their price was $1399! The 4' one was $1289.

Guess I'd better call a couple TSC stores in different states to see where the price breaks. Anyone esle got any info on current TSC pricing?

I took a photo of the ad since I don't have a scanner. In case you can't see it the part number is 21-27109. Good chance that any TSC store will honor this price.

manofaltes: You're right! And I went to the TSC website and they've got a button to check current local ad floers. The rub is that no stores in NY, OH or PA that I checked have the $1249 price! They all have the 5' tiller in the ad for $1399. Do you believe it?

I even called an Ohio store to see what the deal was and if they'd honor the MI price. Nope, different TSC regions. What a crock. -WSJ

...and $1399 isn't even a sale price. It's just the regular price. Our local TSC has the same ad with the same $1399 price.

I just got back from my local TSC store. I bought the 5ft King Kutter tiller for $1,279.99. I have the same flyer that is posted here. Mine shows the tiller at 1,279.99 which is what I paid. The 5 ft. tiller had a sticker price on the machine of $1,359.99 TSC online has the tiller regular list price at $1,399.99. Last year the same tiller was sticker priced at $1,159.99.

Back to the flyer. The 3 pt fertilizer spreader on mine is listed as $449.99 and the 2.5 gal triple 10 fertilizer is listed at 19.96.

OK, deal's done and I pick up my 5' KK on Saturday. Another local TSC store agreed to match the Michigan store price.

I talked to 3 or 4 different stores (hey, I try to shop local) before finding someone willing to match the price. If I hadn't found a local store I was seriously considering calling one of the southeastern Michigan stores and buying it there. I've got to go to norhtwest Ohio in the next month or so anyway and could have done a phone deal and picked it up later.

I guess I'd decided I'd buy a KK tiller and by ****** I was going to get it for the $1249 price before I quit on it.

Thanks all for the info and insight. And thanks especially to manofaltes for giving me the heads-up on the $150 off deal for Michigan residents. And me an Ohio Stater! -WSJ
