I'm am thinking a 4 in 1 bucket is what I need. I want to pull small bushes out without digging them up. What is a good bucket to look at and what can I expect to spend? I have a 3710 HST with a heavy duty bucket. I will be installing the unit myself. Thank for any information. Does Kubota make such a unit?

I'm not sure it's a Kubota unit, but Carver Equipment has a four in one bucket on their website that looks impressive enough. I've seen any number of people here speak very highly of Steve Carver and their dealings with him. He'd be the one to give you an idea on pricing.

If you do a search here on four in one, 4 in 1, four n one, etc., you'll find a lot of threads on the topic. I don't recall anyone posting anything negative about theirs.

Your 3710 is certianly enough tractor to handle one. You've got a need for one. Sounds like a match. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I bought a 4 in 1 to pull scotch broom and blackberries, hawthornes, etc. It is a wonderful
tool and has done all that I have asked of it. Then I discovered many other
uses for it. Carver Equip has the Long brand which is what I had wanted but I ended up with an ATI bucket.
Steve Carver said either brand is well made and other than being switched by the dealer, I am happy with mine.
Well worth the money. The other problem I had was that I assumed I would be getting the joystick/button control for the 4 in 1. Instead I recieved a separate joystick to open and close the bucket. I'm used to it now, but be sure to get the button set up.
Then get ready to pull out everything in your way. The largest scotch broom trunk so far is about 7 inches,
and this fall I have about 3 acres of the stuff to clear. Have fun. I will.
BTW, which Island are you on?

I have the 4n1 bucket from W.R.Long, mfg in Tarboro, NC. Mine was installed with my tractor (also from Carver Equip.) I have a Kubota 4610 and it works great. It's a bit heavier than regular bucket so filled tires are needed and an implement behind helps too. I've pulled 5-7 inch Jack Pines and white pines up by the roots with no problem. I've never gotten really good at using it as a reverse type box blade yet but it can do that as well with jaws open and rolled down and under. A great investment.
