4 Month Wait on a New B3350!!

Isn't this model the one that has the DPF and is having all the regen problems?

I was under the impression that there were a very large percentage of owners that had their machine into the dealer multiple times due to the emission system issues. I also think many machines were being returned to the dealers.

Maybe the delay is due to these issues and Kubota is doing some sort of problem solving on the design and is not manufacturing many of them at this point.

Both of the dealers that I frequent tell me that the regen problems on the early models has been resolved. Apparently, it was a firmware issue.

I've been considering a 3350 for use with a light 5' (or, maybe 4') rotary cutter. I'm not concerned about previous regen issues.

I just ordered a B3350, and the dealer is saying that it is showing a arrival date of Oct 2017. 4 months for a tractor?? Anybody else experience this?

Greg - K0GDI

My local dealer has one coming in (sold) in about two weeks. He tells me that it took two months to get it.

The next closest dealer has an open station model in stock and it has been sitting on the lot for some time. I've been considering it and may buy it if I can get aged inventory pricing.

Both of these are open station. I cannot use tractors with cabs due to tree issues.

Profit margin is impacted by dealer transfers. Shipping between lots cost.
More likely to have an impact on the buyer's cost rather than the dealers profit margin.

If a dealer sells at MSRP then they usually sell at MSRP. New, shipped Kubota owned tractor shipped to dealer vs new Kubota owned tractor shipped from another lot will cost the dealer extra money, shipping costs. If still sold at MSRP it affects the dealers profit margin and buyer pays the same, MSRP. If sold for above MSRP then it affects the buyers pocket. Tractors sit on some lots for years before any Kubota discount is offered and doubt any discount would be offered on a high deman model. May be sitting because the dealer won't discount their profit. Tractors and dealer/company ownership and financing are not like cars/trucks. Totally different method of operation.
