Well I finnally got a BX2750 for my 2004 BX1500. I also was talked into the 4 postion valve/kit to the tune of $650.00, The dealer said Kubota told him it had to have it. Well I figured it would be worth it, that way the loader could be easily disconnected and the valve would stay with the tractor. To make a long story short the tractor showed up with only a "4 position valve" mounted in the same bracket that the 3 position valve was on :-(. I still have to disconnect the arm at a pivot point and one lifting cylinder, a pain to hook backup. I went to the dealer and we called Kubota, Gee now he finds a kit with a new tower, valve and mounting bracket but wants to charge me another $200.00.
Does anyone know what is supposed to come in the remount kit for the $650.00? Or am I getting hosed? I real close to telling him to put my old 3 valve postion back on a small bracket and bolt it to the existing tower so it can stay with the tractor. The 3 position valve will work if all I do is raise and lower the snaoblwer according to Kubota.
Sorry to ramble but the salesperson is speaking with forked tongue I believe.

Thanks
Mike

Somethings not right...I did not think they used any 3-pos valves since the original BX2200 series, are you SURE your 2750 came with one?

My 2004 BX1500 came with a L181 loader and a 3 position valve mounted on the back right loader leg. The 4 position valve is supposed to mount on the back permanent post with 4 inline easily accessed ports. The 2750 is the snowblower number.

I have the 4 way valve on a BX22 and I have to pull the boom pin and lift cylinder pin in order to leave the valve on the tractor. I expect that that is the only way. I am interested if there is anything else out there for our vintage BXs.

That is correct.

You could also get a new valve for $140, and the fittings/adapters/QD's for another $100 or so to hook it up yourself if you can fabricate a mount for it and just use it to operate the plow.

I finally found the right part number for the 4 postion valve and mounting kit, including a new mounting post, BX2015A. But its $745.00 plus shipping. I going to have the dealer put my 3 position valve back on and deal with the issues in swapping between blower and loader. It will save me $600.00

When I change mine over, I take the loader of like normal. Then disconnect the hydraulic lines from the valve and remove the pins from the lift cylinder and boom and remount the loader pedestal with valve to the tractor. Reverse when it comes time to take the blower off and put the loader back on. Not hard to do.

Mike,

You definitely want the 4 position valve and the extra loader bracket parts to install it. I got a BX2750 for my 1500 last year, but had to hassle with using a different 4 way valve (one that came for non FEL tractors). At least I had that for the 4 ft of snow we got the week after I installed it. I should have bought the 4 way when I got the tractor... Anyhow, I sold the blower because I wanted to be able to swap the loader and blower easily - which is only possible with the 4 way valve. Did you see if the dealer could order just the loader mount with the bracket for the valve? As others mentioned I was going to do that, but I decided to part with the blower instead. We don't get 4' snow in MD often, and at least I had it for when we did.

PS - run the blower max speed, go only fast enough until tractor wants to bog, use Pam or equivalent spray (I didn't). Also, I had to remove the snowball breaker with wet snow as my chute clogged alot.

Good luck with the install.

Steve
