I have a hard time getting my CK30 into 4 wheel drive. Most of the time I need to use my foot to get it in and I mean using force. Just want to see if others have the same problem.

I have a ck25 and shifting in & out of 4 wheel drive can be a pain if your on hard surface. I put mine in the dirt and have no problem...Takes the stress off the system.

Spray the linkage down with WD40 and move it up and down, re-apply the WD40 and let sit for a while. Might need to do this a couple times, but it will make it much better. Its good to spray down all the linkage every oil change.

When I first got my CK30 I couldn't get it in 4wd. Got under and did the WD40 thing, it all most worked but what I finaily did was take the apart on the trans side, clean off the excess paint from all contact points, grease the "stud" etc. put it all together and now it goes into 4wd with ease, of coarse, I still raise the front end of the tractor to disengage it which is alot easier then trying to force it out.
