I just bought an L3710, and the tractor has about 550 hours on it. He changed some of the fliuids at 500 hours. Since it's new to me, I'm thinkin' 'bout having the dealer come out and do the complete 400 hour service. That way I know it would be all new fluids thruout the whole machine. I've done all my own maintenance on my equipment before, but just want the assurance nothing is missed. It'll be a "little" spendy, but hopefully it'll be done right.
Any thoughts on this?

I tend to agree with you. it is pricey but it gives you some peace of mind when you buy from someone you likely didn't know.

It is not all that hard to change things yourself. Buy the fluids at TSC and the filters at Messick's. There is really nothing to it besides the time.

If you want to spend $90/hour and triple the price for fluids for someone to do take out a few plugs and change some filters then go for it.

If you want it done so you know it was done and done right then trust yourself. The owner's manual details everything.

I just did the 1200 hour service on an L48. 18 gallons of fluid, 5 filters, and a strainer. Also did the 50 hour on a M7040 and a 400 hour on a BX2200. All came due at once by some quirk. Not simple - but doable even for a non-mechanic. The oil recycling center had a ball with 40+ gallons of fluids.

BTW - where are you located in N. CA?
