Anyone know of any specific attachments and/or mounting gear one can buy for 4720 tractor....

ideally a front three point hitch and a PTO...but any ability to utilize the front end without having to add a front end loader would be great.

thanks

Whatcha gonna do with the tractor?

Front mounted blade. Front mounted snow blower. Front mounted rotary broom.

Then of course, there's a whole slew of "fun tools" that you can hang on the front of a FEL.

would like to do just what you mentioned...front blade, snow-blower definitely, etc.

really kinda sad that Deere doesn't offer anything in their world.

I seem to recall seeing those attachments listed for CUT's on the Deere website.

I think there's a section on the drop down menu next to the listing of tractor series i.e. 90 series, 2000 series, 3000 series, etc. that illustrates the different attachments that are available.

I don't think you can find a reference for those particular attachments in the "configurator" and therefore, there's no MSRP for them but your dealer should have some information about 'em.

thanks for helping out...but I am not seeing anything like that on the website...the brochure only show a plethora of rear attachments...nothing for the front and no hitch mech...other than the 400CX Loader...which I am trying to avoid as it will get little use (I own a Deere Wheel Loader) and its a pain to have on the unit for most of my tasks.

thanks for the link...its right but when you check there is little if anything for the front end of 4000 series tractor....there in lies the issue.

My dealer had a 4720 on the lot one day that had a MONSTER snowblower on it. It was an aftermarket unit. I was going to take a picture because it was so unique. When I got to the dealership with my camera the unit had been shipped to it's new owner. It must have been going to an airport or something.

Hi:

I was 'casually' looking into how I'd put a blower on the front of a 4000 series a while ago. (Ended up trading in my 3320 for a 3720 cab - the 4000 cabs were too high for my garage... ;)

One thing you can do is to get a skid steer carrier for the 400X/400CX and use skid steer (hydraulic) items. I saw one at a dealer with a huge skid steer hydraulic snowblower on it. Not sure how they hooked up the hydraulics (for the blower) but I'd get a high capacity PTO pump (540) and run lines up over the boom to it. I'm not sure if the hydraulic capacity of the 4000 series would b e enough for a really big blower. A high capacity PTO pump would get you the volume you need. Also it would be convenient since you could use the PTO switch to turn the blower on and off.

I've never seen any mechanical PTO for the 4000 series but I'll bet somebody makes one.
