Have you purchased a 4000Ten (4010, 4110, or 4115) series and now wish you had gotten a 2210?

I have a 4110 and didn't even seriously consider getting the 2210. I needed the ground clearance and generally thought the 4110 looked a little meaner!

I bought a 4310 after owning a New Holland CUT (33HP) and a JD 455 diesel garden tractor. I considered something in the 2210 range, or even the X585, because I do a lot more mowing than land clearing and digging, but I am extremely glad I went with the 4310. You'll see a lot of posts recommending buying the biggest tractor you can get (or that will fit in your garage), and I heartily agree. The 4310 is a little large for mowing close to the house, but there is just so much more you can do with it once you have it. I have 5 acres and a 6' RFM and really appreciate it. The 4310 with a loader and box blade will do an incredible amount of work. If I had a few more acres, I would have gone for the 4610.

I bought a 4010 which is the most comparable to the 2210. I wanted the better 3pt hitch, a little more weight, and a heavier FEL. I also wanted the capability to add aux. rear hydraulics, and wanted separate left/right brakes.

The price came up to be only $500 more for the 4010.

The advantages of the 2210 were more HP and better deck height adjustment, although any other TEN series has an equal height adjustment to the 2210. The other TEN series tractors will probably be $2000 more similarly outfitted.

Compare the features and decide what's most important to you and how much you are willing to spend. I don't think you would have any regrets either way.

I bought a JD 4000 just before the ten series came out. It has 20hp, I can adjust the mmm height and the FEL does all that I ask. I also run a bush hog,tiller and box blade. In fact this weekend I will be moving 32 tons of crushed granite around the driveway. if anything I might have gone bigger, you can always use more power /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. I looked at a JD 450 with a FEL and mower and the price was a little lower but I am glad I got the 4000

I have a 4110 and I am not sorry I didn't get a 2210. In fact now that I have used it a few months I am wishing I would have bought the 4210 or a Kubota B7800. At this point in our land clearing, home building project I sure wish there was a BH available.

The long wheelbase of the 4115 appeals to me. Long wheelbase = stability, especially important with with an FEL.

I purchased the 4210. At times I wanted smaller, but there are many more times I wanted larger.

I had a JD445 and traded for a 4310 last summer. At the time the 2210 was not available. I first looked at the 4010, 4110, and 4115 series as it seemed the right size for me. I focused on the 4115 because I was interested in the direct injection engine. The price of the 4115 was getting close to the 4210. There was a 4310 at the dealer at the time and the price difference over the 4210 made up my mind. What I would have liked was an exact 4310 feature for feature in the size of the 4115. Some of the things I have gotten attached to are the operator area, dash, and the e-hydro options.

At times, while mowing I miss the nimble 445. I was itching for a project so I saw a JD 322 in need of rescue. I bought it and I'm in the process of putting it into service.

I have increased mowing from 1 to about 5 acres. The 4310 shines out in the open for me and does better than I expected around the house but the 322 will be a nice addition and it has been fun to work on.
