4000Ten Poll

When I purchased my 4010 2 weeks ago, I looked at the 2210...for about 10 seconds. The 4010 was in the showroom, in the row behind the 2210, so the visual comparison was immediate; the 4010 looks like a tractor instead of a lawn mower. I also liked the extra ground clearance of the 4010.

I have put 30 hrs on it so far, using the FEL, backblade, and tiller. My 60" MMM is due in this week...I'm sure the CFO will rack up the hours with it. We own 16 acres, 3/4 of which is wooded and are in the process of purchasing another 5 acres which is all yard, and lease another ten acres for our tree nursery. I'll be delegated to "push mower and weed wacker duty", but it's a low price to pay for the fun of playing...I uh, mean working with this great machine in the woods, gardens, and fields. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I got a jd 4110. I LOVE that tractor!

I am at a pritty high altitude, and sometimes it lacks horse power. But then again it only lacks horse power when I am moving 2000 lbs of dirt up a 30% grade. If money wasnt an issue I would have gotten a 4210, but $15,000 already seemed like a lot of money. And the HP is nothing more than occasionally inconvient.

I looked at the 2210 and then the day I was going to buy it I looked at a 4210 and bought it instead. Three weeks later "I brought it back and upgraded to a 4410. I never expected that I would need that much tractor, becasue every one I talked to said the 2210 would do what I needed even though I was skeptical about its ability to handle the work.. As a suggestion from my experience go to your dealer and test both machines, even test bigger ones. See if you can arrange demo time at your place, alot od dealers do this. See if they have a satisfaction guarantee as my dealer did, If I wasn't completely happy within 30 days bring it back and get something else no trade-in lost. I still wish I had a 2210 to go along with the 4410 of mine.

I have a 4110 with 37 hrs. on it and did not consider anything smaller. I am very happy with the 4110 but if I had it to do over again I would go to the 42 or 4310 if nothing else for the additional options on attachments.
