I dont think you would have any problem if you want to replace seals only. From what i've read since all this started for me, if you're doing seals only, just knock the shaft one way far enough to get out of the bushing on lets say the left side. Check the opposite or right side of the shaft for wear. Replace the left side seal, then push the shaft through the new seal and do the same on the other side. Apparently you dont HAVE TO take the shaft right out for seals only. When i got that far with mine, it had a visible groove in the shaft so i had to replace the shaft and bushings or the new seals would have been wasted. What the manual doesnt tell you but most people i've talked to about it since, have said, the rock shaft control on the dash should be in the down position, and the load/draft control should be at the bottom or D. Although, since i'm the one with the problem, maybe someone with better credentials should verify this. Haha
