My buddy finally got his last year Jeep built Jeep CJ laredo off of his lift. He rebuilt both axles, added the frame support plates up front, putting new suspension in (which will lift it a few inches). Has hard top and soft top. He says when he finishes, it will be worth 10K, and that's without a new paintjob.

It has been on his lift for about 8 months, the rubber pads came off the lift and stuck to the bottom of the Jeep frame.....

I told him to hurry and work on the boat. He needs to take me fishing.

:)

Lots of projects getting done now in the shop. Nothing big, just little stuff all the time.
Reroofed this old outhouse that the wife wants to use as a garden shed. Waiting on the landscape guy to get done before I move it outside.

Built a windshield hold down for the Arctic Cat today. Used a couple of Jeep parts I got at work. Cruised it at 60 earlier and it held down with no problems.

Finally got black dirt all around the shop and seeded it down. We have done a ton of landscaping work around the house too. Spent the last two nights dragging hoses and sprinklers around the yard. I’m sure I’m not putting near enough water on it, but it appears to still be moist in the mornings so hopefully it takes off pretty quick.

Doesn't take too much to get grass to grow around here. Just ignore an area and grass will grow. Ignore it a full year and it will be full of pine and oak saplings!!!

When we had the landscaping done around the house we had a bunch of black dirt added to the ditch next to the road. It was WAY to steep for our zero turn to go down before so we added a bunch of black dirt to take some of the steepness out of it. Anyway, the black dirt is from out in the pasture, and I've never seen weeds grow so fast! While he did seed it with grass seed, the foxtail took over immediately. It needs mowed about every two days and looks horrible. I'm going to let it go this year and then spray it next year to see if I can minimize the weed growth in it. On a positive note, at least I can mow it now.

Amazing what will grow just adding water...

Water was shut off for nearly a year at the place I bought and some things didn't make it but I was pleased to see the results of a water and loosening the soil.

One of the neighbors commented this morning at all the plants I planted look great... thing is I have not planted any... only cleared out the dead stuff and added water.
