Got an hour of seat time today! Works great. More work tomorrow, and should have time to post pics then too. Unfortunately it doesn't have a drawbar, but has a place for one. Is buying the OEM JD one the only option? It costs almost two hundred bucks!

Also, I hadn't really thought about this before, but it has the standard bucket, not HD. May look into welding some reinforcement so I can get a toothbar and some chain hooks. I'm betting that would be more affordable than a new HD bucket.

Just do a little searching, definitely not the only option but from what I saw in my minute of a "deere drawbar" google search they aren't cheap. Pretty much the same price as the Deere draw bar. What will you be using it for? If your going to be towing stuff around with it I'd recommend one of the 3PH 2" receiver such as this one. That way you can adapt the height that way and it is $200.

As for the HD bucket, the std. bucket came on my 3120 and I kept it that way. Hasn't been damaged until recently that I was trying to dig out a very large stump, put the top rail of the bucket in a ridge where the tree was cut and then curled the bucket. It did put a minor bend in the top lip of the bucket. Didn't do any damage to how the bucket works but is kind of annoying. I wish I had a picture but I think it would have done the same thing to a HD bucket as it isn't reinforced there either, only on the sides and the lip to my knowledge. If I was to get another I'd probably go HD but I'm perfectly happy with the std. I definitely wouldn't buy another in your shoes, but if your pretty good with a welder and want to reinforce a little it couldn't hurt:thumbsup:

No plans to tow frequently, if at all. I like that product in the link though. I want a drawbar so I have a safe point to hook to for pulling out bushes, stuck vehicles, whatever else comes up.

So glad to finally have tractor!

Never mind this, tried to link a thread that talks about reinforcing buckets on a competing forum.

A few pics. Delivery, trying out the cutter, and some very interested horses.

What I've done is take the bucket off (just the two pins and tilt and its off) wrap a chain/rope between the two quick connections with a little droop in it then hook a chain/rope to the middle. Then you can control height as well, I find it very handy. I've had hooks on my buckets before but with it off you can see through and the bucket blocks your view of what your pulling.
