My son was kind to me this morning and beat me out to the barn and changed out the hella plug to a 7 pin RV socket, already had the adapter for the RV socket. The magnetic tow lights worked great, pulled 8 wagons today and traffic cooperated, wife was happy because she did not have too direct traffic  ,guess I should cancel that extra life insurance policy for her
Thanks again for all the replies

I have a 2014 Mahindra 5010 with the European style trailer socket. I was debating on whether to rewire a standard 7-pin rv plug until I found this item on etrailer.com. Works perfectly....... Plugs into the factory Mahindra socket and adapts down to a standard 4-pin flat which is widely used in the US. The description says it's for a Land Rover 7-pin to a 4-pin flat but it's the same plug that fits my Mahindra tractor. Hope this helps

I've got a 2555 and I was about to replace the Euro plug with a standard 7 pin. That's just what I've been looking for. Don't know why Mahindra doesn't swap out the plugs on all tractors coming into the states.

Not sure why TYM uses this Euro plug on tractors built for the USA. Wouldn't be hard to install the correct ones when they assemble them at the factory, or leave it off and have it installed at the final assembly plant.

I believe that euro is the same plug the green and blue guys use.

But why. We do not have any trailers with Euro plugs here, or none that I have seen.

I've run across a lot of guys looking for adapters for this plug across various brands. My question has always been why a plug this popular isn't easier to find adapters for.

The rest of the world use tractors as a form of transportation on public roads and the tractors are built for a global market, so we could be the one with the oddball plug. (Metric system?). I have been able to buy the male plug from my Deere dealer, believe we found it in the baler parts catalog.
