4110 alt deere oil filter

In doing my change over to full syn for the upcoming -40, I noticed that this 4110 came with a different oil filter than called out in the manuals. Instead of a M 806418, it came with a AM 107423, which is about twice as tall as the 806418. (or about the same height as the Purolator L14612.)
Made by Deere, approx. twice as much filter capacity......gotta be a good thing, right??????

M806418 is the correct oil filter for the smaller Deere diesel engines, the AM107423 is a kawasaki engine based filter for the gas lawn mowers using Kawasaki power. If I remember correctly they both use the same threads but have different filtering properties. If I remember from the last 423 filter I had apart the filter media is about the same quanity, the can is just a bit larger. The M806418 was reduced in outer measurements to resolve clearance issues the old filter had with the side covers on several models.
