Glad it came off for you.
The oil filter on my Mahindra 5525 is almost completely obstructed by one of the FEL support members.

I can get to the bottom of the filter and to the top 1" of the filter. So I use this $9 Fram filter pliers from Walmart to grab around the accessible top of the filter.

Works fine.

This is what seems to work for the 4530 too. The designers of these tractors didn't seem to take filter access into their design criteria.

I have a 5525 too. My problem today is the assembly above the filter with the two hoses is moving but the filter is frozen to it. The wrench is starting to dent the filter but hasn't punctured it yet. I guess I will go ahead and put fresh oil back in the tractor and warm it up as BobG suggested... but then I have to go get more fresh oil to start clean again. Not the delay in getting done I was expecting.

Just change the filter, since you are putting new oil in, why waste it.
