Called on a 2003 4110 yesterday and owner say's 3200 hours. That seems very high. That would be 400 per year.
He say's it is in very good condition. It has FEL, 60" mmm & ballast box with r4's
It is three hour ride to look at it. He's asking $9900.00
Is it worth looking at.

if he's a commercial user that's not unrealistic per year. I put 150 per year on my 2210 and don't even have a loader on it, that's just mowing, snow pushing, wood hauling.

My concern would be how much engine life is left.

Sounds a little steep to me both the hours and price. There's a lot out there in the 10k range if you look hard and will have half the hours. I recently looked a 2001 4300 with FEL and 72" deck with 1200 hours listed at 10,700. They probably will take 10k for it or less. Also a 4100 near me with FEL, 72" deck, with around 800-1000 hours (can't remember) and we was wanting 9k.

But you never know... I've seen 4100-4300 series some with 7,000 hours. Just depends how it was taken care of. If it's close by I don't think it would hurt to take a look, 3 hour does seem far to me though for that price though. When you find a good deal you'll know it, I'd keep looking.

Thanks,
What is premium to pay for low hours? I also looked at 04 4110 FEL,
60" mmm, ballast box & r4's with 157 hrs. Asking price $13,500 which seems high also.

Thanks again

Yeah that seems a little high too but not bad... could offer 10K and see what they say, if you can get them around 10k - 10.5k I dont think thats bad but for a 20hp tractor I wouldn't give over 10K for it to be honest. Dont get me wrong 4110 is a very nice tractor. I just bought a 2520 (signature below) for $13,750. It only had 112 hours on it.

Where are you located? I've been looking for the last two months so I might have a few options in mind.

The one with 157 hrs is like new. That's probably the problem, owner see's it as a like new tractor and priced as such. I just can't justify paying premium when there seems to be plenty around with 3-4 hundred hrs which is fine with me.

I'm in Pa, north of Wlliamsport. I see your in Ohio there seems to be alot better selection in Oh. then Pa. I was watching a 4110 with FEL 60" mmm and turf tires low hours and guy wanted 10,750 it was west of Columbus.

Are you only looking for a 4110? FEL with mower? And something under 10k? I'll keep my eye out, should be a few on tractorhouse in that area.

Actually not real particular. Just looking for tractor about size of 4110 or 4115 with FEL & MMM . Doesn't have to be JD. I have a 420 lawn & garden tractor now and like the way it operates so just started looking at JD CUTs
I'm willing to travel for the right machine

Thanks

I had my eye on this one for a little while, priced a little high but fair but you can always make on offer 12k would be nice buy. Only thing that turn me away was the 72" deck... I didn't want to deal with dragging that thing out. The drive over decks on the JD's are so much nicer.

Its a touch & go thing... For example...I bought my F935 off a Golf Course...she had 3200 (or 3800 I cant remember but it was in that range) hours and runs like a top...I've seen machines with less hours in rougher shape engine & mechanically wise.
Thing with commercial users is they TYPICALLY take care of their machines because the machines take care of them financially... I couldnt offer advice or buy it myself without actually seeing it and looking it over.

sj79 thanks for the links.
I called on the 4115 but they didn't return call.
I would love to look at the 2320 but just too far away and I can't get myself to buy sight unseen.
Binghamton is only 1 1/2 away so going to try and get up there to look at bingo's tractors.
Also found a 4110 with FEL, 54" deck and ballast box with turfs asking 11k about 2 hours from here ( too bad opposite direction from Binghamton )

I just may ride up and look at the one with 3200 hours he really wants to deal.

Yeah man sounds like a good plan you have. More the tractors you see the better. When I was looking I was all about getting a 4300/10 or 4400/10 until I saw one in person and felt it was too large for my needs.

Well keep looking, let us know if you get anything and as I see any deals I'll try and post them.

Yea, I have people telling me to get larger tractor but I like the size of 4110. I want to use it to mow to help justify the cost. This will be my first CUT and after driving the 4110 around I think it is good comprmise. I have some work to do in the woods. I felt the SCUT are little small.

I went and looked at the one 2 hours away.( I should never have looked at the one with 157 hrs first ) this one was OK. 386 hrs. Some rust spots around where panels meet. Everything worked well. It has 54" deck, I have 60" now so not sure I want to go down. 6" probably wouldn't make much difference. He's asking 11, but called me to see if I was still interested so maybe he's ready to deal.

I may offer 11500 ( he's asking 13-5) to guy with 157 hrs it was like new and he is original owner. I would probably bite for 12.

Looks like Bingo posted another 855.

Get him to throw that 72" finish pull behind mower on that 2520. That would be a good deal :D

Well went and looked at a Kioti ck20 with FEL & mmm .06 with 470 hrs
It did the thing engine bog downed when I turned hard. Also wasn't impressed with turning radius. Owner of dealership got on it and it didn't do it but he may not have been trning as hard as I was. He wants 8900 firm.
Kioti seems to be well made machine. If I wasn't concerned about mowing with it I'd probably be more interested.

I went online and looked at bingo tractors inventory. I always wanted a 855 but now feel they hold they're value to well plus newer machines seem more user friendly.
That 2520 would be great just starting to get to far out of my budget.

   / 4110 with 3200 hours #19
Yeah I was going to buy a CK20 before I got my JD (glad I didn't) and that Kioti did the very same thing... strange. Hard turn would pull the engine down so much it would stall.

I talked to owner of 4110 with 157 hrs ( FEL,60" mmm, ballast box & R4's) I offered him 12k. He countered with 12.5 so thinking about it. Found one 320 hrs,no ballast box asking 11.5 but went down to 11 on phone so might go look at that before I decide.
My BIL keeps pushing me toward Kioti or TYM say's there heavier duty. I plan on using what ever I buy to mow as much as anything else and just feel more comfortable on the JD
I know it weights less but defenitly maneuvers better
