4120 shopping

Just an update, folks. If it weren't for you guys I wouldn't be able to spend as much money. No, seriously, I gave my salesperson those part numbers and he was able to get the hard lines added. It's only hard lines down the loader arms ending in couplers at the front and then couplers at the back of the loader arm that the hard lines run down. At least that is how he described it. The kit price was 350.00ish. They don't have the 4120 ehydro in stock so they have to order it so I can order whatever I want(afford). But I guess with the economy like it is they are a little slow because he said it would only take two weeks to get it here from the Ga. factory.

The fitting on the front are not the same size as the ones on the rear. I found that out when I picked up my 4520 with them. So, make sure they put the right size couplers on there. I wanted them to match my 5525 and the rear of both tractors so I can plug in any of my devices.

Were they too large or too small? I thought JD used 1/2" quickconnects.

Ok, I am squared away on that. Now I have another thing on my 4120 that is going to be here by the 30th, the bucket on the 4720 they have on the lot has nice evenly spaced holes all the way across the front of it from the factory and looks like it is there for attaching something but my salesman never noticed and doesn't know what they are for. He is going to find out for me but you guys are so much quicker with this sort of thing. Btw, I emailed John Deere myself and the representative that responded told me to ask the dealer. I sent a response that I have and they don't know could she please look at one or find out. Her response to that was ask the dealer to ask a field rep. Go figure.

It should have a paper label on the back of the bucket. My bet is it is the heavy duty bucket and the holes are for the bolt cutting edge. The heavy duty bucket is worth the upgrade, one can tear the standard one up in a hurry.
