Rate of drop valve.

It's the valve that has to be closed for the backhoe hydraulics to work.

The hydraulic mower lift may also become involved???

Thanks for responding. I will replace the manifold and do some pressure testing. You say this has two pumps. The one this manifold is hooked up to... is that the pump for the loader or is that the pump for the power steering and hydrostatic drive? Any idea where I can get a service manual for this tractor? I see a few online i can buy but not sure if they are decent and will show me what i need to know. Not interested in pictures of the steering wheel and explanations what is used for. lol. I want hydraulic schematics and technical stuff.

I'd get the suction/filter problems fixed first, then check the valve lock by your heel. If any QD couplings are not completely seated they will also cause trouble. (like the Power Beyond for a back hoe).

Ok I have read most of the posts here and can't pinpoint my issue. Tractor movement works, pto works, bucket does not and power steering does not. I am assuming Kenny will respond to this being he is known here as the hydraulic god. From what I have found is the steering pump is separate which confuses me why two pumps are not working. And there must be a third pump since the tractor will move. I do here a pump "noise" tho. I have heard the similar noise out of a failing power steering pump on a car. I am a lamen when it comes to tractor terms so please don't use slang or abbreviations. I don't even know where these pumps are located and/or how many i even have on this tractor. Thanks in advance for anyones help.

I just went through the same symptoms that you're having with my 4200,I had a cracked suction hose ( the one that Kenny is talking about) picked up a new one $24. This is the 3rd one that I've replaced in the past 10 years.
