My local dealer offered me a new 4300 4wd with loader,
folding rops, cold weather package, ballast in the R4 tires
for $15,000 delivered (no tax for ag in Michigan). Though
the price seemed good, the tractor just was not big enough
for my future needs.

The price is high to be sure. I paid $19.100 for a 4300 HST with 430 fel with 73 inch heavy duty bucket R4 and all the rest of the toys in May. Where are you in New York?

Tom, I'm in orange county, lower hudson valley. The dealers here blow. I'm gettin outrageous prices on green and orange machines.

Looks like I'm buying outta state.

for a good comparison price check out jdlawns. That quote seems high. Was the tractor in question 2WD or 4WD, and what transmission did it have?? These are two of the most expensive options.

I would be able to sell you the same package @ 17300 with no sales tax. I am located 12 miles NW of Omaha Ne.

I also have a slightly used 4200 H w/ turf tires, 198 hrs. and could install a new 420 loader for a total of $15200. Could get an extended 2 year warranty for an addeitional $200.

Look at the following website Stonehams. Ther're in PA, just off of I-81. I would imagine about 4.5 hours from you. Maybe to far, but people as far away as Missouri have bought from them.

I purchased a 4300 HST 4WD with Folding ROPS, R4 Tires for less than your quote on the 4200. Contact "Rolling Acres" in Tunkhanick (spelling???) PA .Talk to Ken at that dealership. He's a great person to deal with and delivered the tractor to Central NY for no charge. I think that you'll find there is also a sales tax advantage for New Yorkers purchasing in PA
Almost forgot. It came with a 430 loader.
