425 A Taskmaster (DongFeng ?) with Y385 engine

Aside from engine related issues, DF's have a common sump and tranny (but check it out) as opposed to separate as most other Chineese tractors do. So instead of a gear oil for the tranny and an AW 32 hydraulic for the hydraulics, I use a UTF (Universal tractor fluid) spec'd for common sumps. Walmart has one , but there are many you can use for your DF. When you do a change you will need a lot, probably 25l. and add another 5-10l. if you have a loader ( check your manual) . The dipstick and fill is right on top by the gear shift levers. Someone will also add. Yes the black knob below the seat controls the rate of drop of your 3 pt. If it hasn't been used lately, careful as you turn it or better spray some lube in there first as they can break off.

You remove the IP fill/vent cap with an open end wrench to loosen a hex nut beneath the mushroom. Once loose, you can then turn it out by hand. Not sure, but I seem to recall 14mm.

Knob under the seat front is a flow control valve for the three point hitch. It controls the speed with which gravity is permitted to lower an implement. Again from memory, but I think it's right to slow the fall (heavy implements) and left to accelerate the fall (light or no implements).

Yes, the knob on the front of the seat is to control the drop rate of the 3 pt hitch - but not the pressure. These tractors, like most out there, have no downward pressure on the the TPH. The weight of the implement drops the arms. There is no hydraulic down pressure, just gravity.
