425 Deere
Hello,
I have a Deere 425 tractor. It floods and backfires when I turn it off. The fuel shutoff solenoid appears to be working as well as the delay module hooked up to it. I have verified when there is no power it stops the air flow.

I do notice while looking into the carburetor when I turn the key off the idle jet seems to dump a large amount of fuel down the carb. Pretty sure this is whats causing all my problems. Any clue to what causing this? I have a video if it helps. Thanks, Nick

Take the carb apart, and check to see if the float has any gas in it. Gently rotate the float to many different positions, and if there is gas in it, you will see the wetness on the float.
I just went thru the same problem with a carb, and the problem was a porous float, which was to heavy to float and shut off the fuel flow.
While I had it apart, I also changed the needle and seat.
