Don't remember if this has been discussed before. What type of bolts are on this machine, Metric or SAE?
My purchase is not far off and have the opportunity to buy some tools very cheap from a friend.

Everything I've wrenched on so far has been good 'ol American, not metric. But I haven't takne anything apart except for cleaning and maintenance. Only needed two sizes of wrench so far. Could have done all the maint with a crescent wrench and my hands.

Thanks MossRoad, I was pretty sure that was the case.
Hope to be making that trip to Tazewell in August or Sept.

Paul:
The diesels are Deutz and have metric stuff, but the PT mechanicals are SAE. You may find that mix on the 422 with the Robin, as well. 422 owners?

The tool purchase is much easier to decide than which tractor ...buy the (inexpensive?) tools, metric or sae, then buy what you need later as the job comes up...you'll get to use both standards on any tractor you buy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
