Dealer says no teeth available for this bucket. Are there any, or any other accessories for the bucket?

Re:Toothbars Available for all buckets

That picture reminds how dumb/ignorant/brainwashed I am about New York. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Where's the tall buildings? The throngs of people? The crush of humanity? /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

All I know of New York is what shows up on TV, and that's always the big city areas. Muhammad posted a few back road pictures a while back that took my breath away, which was my first realization that there's a lot of New York us westerners never get to see.

More to the topic -- the tooth bar is slowly creeping its way towards the top of my lengthy wish list. Someone mentioned how much they cost once, but do I dare ask the question again?

Harv, you've had the same stereotype thoughts that I had years ago./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif The first time I went to New York, I was amazed to see farms on Long Island./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif And when you get away from the Big Apple, lots of beautiful country and darned nice folks.

Harv-

I dealed mine into my tractor package, but I think they normally run about $200-300. I was using mine this weekend, and wow/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif it worked good.

Paul

BTW, on our tractors, it says to grease the pedal shaft. Which shaft are they talking about? Is it the brake pedal adjustment shaft?

Thanks, Paul. That makes them a real good bang for the buck! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Re:toothbars

Harv, take a look at http://www.ssbtractor.com/page26.html for their prices on toothbars. I think you may find them a little more expensive than has been mentioned above. I bought a used one from one of our members for $200 plus shipping. Of course, it's just as good as new and has the replaceable points on the shanks.

Re:toothbars

Hmmmm...

That is a tad pricier, Bird. Guess I should keep an eye out for a used one myself. Since I don't have a welder, though, I'd have to find one that is an exact fit for my bucket or expect to pay for a custom fitting.

I really would like to have one when it's time to start my road re-building project. My wife says I can have any tractor gadget I want, as long as I'm making a whole lot more money than I am at the moment! /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Funny, she just got done telling me how little income taxes we have to pay this year. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Harv,

What is the size of your bucket?{inside measurement}

I'm looking at New pricing of $185-260. for 36"-63" with 5-7 shanks per toothbar. {replacement teeth are only $5.ea.}

A few posts back, K.C. Canary in Fonda, NY, a very large JD Ag dealer can drop ship them to your front door via UPS with a phone/credit card order. Shipped from the {factory} Midwest to Calif should be less than $35. {No commission...darn it /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif}

My 73" Bolt-on toothbar is still sitting in the cardboard wrapper waiting on me to find time to mount it...

Harv, I thought the one I was buying was exactly the right size, but it turned out to be about an eighth of an inch (or less) too long; simply wouldn't go into the bucket. I do have a welder, but am sometimes afflicted with a severe case of laziness, so I paid a professional welder $20 to cut it in two and weld it back to make it fit; no big deal./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
