I'm moving 5x5 bales and don't have enough weight in the front end to keep it down. Anyone experenced w/ a 430 and moving bales? Was getting pricing for loader, 61in bucket and pallet fork for ~4000 installed.

Welcome to the forum.
I have the 430 loader (FEL) and the book says it will lift 1000 kg at the edge of the bucket, which is about 2200 lbs (that is at about 1000mm off the ground). Not sure how that translates to a bale of 5x5 size. My forks have a receiver for a bale spike, and suspect it might be used in combination with the forks. Really don't know, as I don't move any bales. I can carry two 10', 15" dia. white oak logs with the forks, which is about 15-1600 pounds. The 430 FEL is a great attachment, and the quick connect and built-in stand is very convenient. The 61" bucket is heavy duty and great for heavy work, beyond just handling materials.
