Can any one tell me how tall the R-1 tires are? my R-4's are about 39.5". I found out the ground speed is alot different than what is labled on the tractor.
Thanks

From the Deere Configuration web site:

Tire------------------Diameter--------Static Loaded Radius
15x19.5 (R4)-----------40.5"--------------17.9"
41x14.00-20 (R3)-------42"----------------18.6"
11.2-24 (R1 Standard)--43.6"--------------20.1"
12.4-24 (R1 Optional)---45.8"---------------21"

The static loaded radius should be used for calculating ground speed. Doing the math - R4 Circumference = 112.4". Standard R1 Circumference = 126.2". Given the same axle rotation speed should then result in the R1 tires giving about 10.9% higher ground speed.

Thanks for the info. That is very helpful, I'm glad you did the math since I stink at that!
