My 4300 4wd with turf tires tears up the turf with the back wheels when turning a tight turn. Either direction and both 2 and 4 wheel drive. Am using with loader and 72 inch mid mower. To dealer three times now with no resolution. Is this the way it is? I had 855 for 12 years with no problems.

doc, surely you don't have the rear differential lock engaged (defective and staying engaged), but I can't think of anything else it could be right now.

I have a 4300 with Industrial tires. I played with it a bit when I first got it back in April because of past turf tearing issues with the 4xxx series. It doesn't tear up the turf except in the following cases:
Turning as sharp as possible and moving pretty fast. Then the front tears it up more than the rears but even then it more like a scuff. It doesn't roll up the sod or anything like that.
4wd and sharp turns does scuff but it is the front not the rear.
On freshly sowed grass almost any amount of turning will scuff either 2wd or 4wd. This was even after rolling and letting the grass grow for a couple of months. Just couldn't let the grass get any higher. Finally had to take some extra time and mow it straight across and make wide turn and back across straight as possible.
I take the loader off when I mow but can't see how that would affect the rears tearing the turf. I could see how that would affect the front tearing it.
If the rear diff. was locked/stuck in, as Bird suggests, that could cause it.

From a nongreeen veiwpoint: How about balance and tire pressure? If there's a loader there's gotta be.... SteveV

It may be your wheels slipping. I have that problem from time to time. A sharp turn, usually up hill, on damp or soft grass/soil. The front wheels are turned to lock and there is a resistance to forward motion causing the back wheel(s) to slip/spin.

With the front end loader attached it causes the rear end to become light. With all that JD power it has no other choice but to break loose. This is more evident when turning sharp corners. Try removing the FEL or add wheel weights etc. to help balance the load. Enjoy!
