I have been using my 4300 a lot lately and the motor has turned off and I cant figure out why. It only happens when I have been using it for a while and then when I go over a big bump or rock the engine dies. Some times I can restart it right away but most of the time I have to wait around five minutes. I cant figure it out. I check all the wires and looked for a loose connection but every thing it tight. I initially thought electrical or seat safety button but those have all checked out fine. Any thoughts?
 
Fuel shutoff solenoid/thermistor?

Can the safety switch under the seats go bad? I suspect it might not be working wright. Can I bypass it to see?
 
Just put a jumper wire in the connector. Easy to do, and the way I have run mine for 16 years.

Its there a way I can test the fuel shut off solenoid/thermistor?

Be careful working on the shut off. The coil in it runs at about 6 volt but pulls in at 12 volt. The thermister reduces the voltage. If you do not reduce the voltage you will find smoke escaping from the valve and its a SOB of a job to get it back in.....

I zip tied the seat safety switch today and ran tractor hard for 3 hours moving rocks. It didn't shut down once. I hope that was the problem.
 
I had that same symptom once. It turned out to be a loose battery connection. I thought it was the seat safety switch
