At 22 hours my new 4300HST developed a leak around the rear PTO faceplate. The dealer picked it up and EIGHT days later it came home. After the first hour of use, it began leaking worse than ever. Supposedly, while in the shop they had some trouble (screwed up) one of the bearings, had to order in the part, and then had to wait 8 hours for the sealant to cure before reassembly. Of course, right now they have "real" farmers in the field planting who are going to get more priority than me. I'm not anxious to let them have it another 8 days, and I'm not sure if the sealant didn't cure properly or if this is one of those "that's the way they are" problems. Anyone else having this problem?

I also have about 20 hrs on my 4300 and no leaks. I would call the dealer and complain that he can't spend more time wwith the tractor than you do...

I got my 4300 in Jan and have 220 HRS on it. It did have a leak when I got the loader on it, but it was some O rings on top of the tranny, dealer fixed it, no more leaks.

I have had my 4300 for two years and 170 hours. When I first got it I had a leak but it was from the PTO itself. Turned out they damaged the seal during installation. Dealer fixed it - no problem. All the o-rings and seals in my BH had to be replaced. Several appeared to have been damaged during assembly, I was told. Again the dealer fixed it. My FEL bucket tilt hydro cylender began spitting fluid. Front seal was damaged. Dealer replaced the seal and cleaned the paint off of the piston rod. Besides the broken weld on another FEL hydro there were a few more anomolies. They must have been having a bad day when they built mine.
