I have never felt that I needed more power for the Snow Blower, However In the summer I use a 60" mower and a TracVac To pick up the grass ( I have some Hills) The trailer is 4 feet by 6 feet and 4 foot tall. When it get near full I sometime wish I had gotten the 4400. I started with a 4200 and it did lack power. I think the price from my dealer was $1200 more for the 3 HP of the 4400. I'm not sure it would make a difference after reading the experts on Torque, as I run at 2600 RPMs. . I think you will be happy with the 4310, but you will always think Maybe I should have.
If it were today I would but the 4410. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Good Luck

last shot, I love hitting the tree /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif But the look on my wife's face when I aim the chute at the side of the house is priceless. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You are having waaaay too much fun. Awesome pics.

After the near 8 feet of snow we've gotten this season, I'm wishing I got a snowblower instead of the rear blade. I'm in the process of building a front blade (hyd angle) which should speed things up a bit.

I have a 4200 with a JD 59 inch snow blower and it does a great job. We have had over 130 inches of snow this season and it is able to cut through it with no problem. The distance it throws is dependent on the weight of the snow. Slush is thrown about 10 feet, light cold lake effect snow is thrown about 50 feet. I had both a JD 425 and 445 in prior years with a 48 inch JD blower. They worked well and threw snow nearly the same distance with a lot fewer horsepower. based on my experience, you couldn't go wrong with the JD 59 inch blower on a 4310.
