4310
Well after 2 weeks the 4310 is ready to go with the 72 mmm and minus the 430 loader. shipment on the loader is aug. 11.
I brought the 4310 home after work yesterday ,took pictures ,dropped the deck off ,put the rear blade on and did a little work on some water lines we put in this spring. They were still to wet to work with so I put the brush hog on did a little mowing around the farm. All I can say is WOW! after having the 755 for 5 years and having absolutly no complaints ther is just no comparison to this ser. of tractors. I had wanted a 955 but am glad I got this.
I want to put some easy time on the engine before I start the high rpm mowing with the mid mount. I had hoped for loader time first but it didn`t work out.
I am gonna flip the 72 " over this morning ,scuff pad the bottom and coat it with slip plate before I use it ,this will make the grass clean out easyer.
Well its off to the shop to get busy on the deck ,don`t want to run the tractor yet since the family is still sleeping. Hello fellow 4310 clubber! That slip plate coating under the mower deck sounds like a good idea. Have you tried that before? Give that idea to a shady dealer and he will start selling it as "undercoating" for $500.00 like some car dealers used to do. If Skeptic doesn't stop by for your dues you can just send tham along to me. Five gallons of low viscosity Hy Guard shipped to my house should cover your first year. By the way RockRidge Mike promised us all free 4310 club hats and tee shirts. I'm sure I saved that post somewhere.....

I picked up the slip plate idea from the cub cadet forum ,most the guys there do it. seems to work great and makes it wash up easy. Godd thing I flipped it over cause there wasn`t much paint or primer. The top side paint isn`t covered well either.
I got to spend a couple hrs. on it this am.then had to bale some hay. got some more seat time at 5:00 then I had to cut my grass with my other tractor ,haven`t fired the 72" up yet.
Is there any concerns with the hyd. filter under the left step plate ?? seems kinda low and unproteted.
This style tractor is very user friendly and comfortable ,evrything seems in reach.
pics later this eve or in the a.m. whats the size limit to post??

Nice looking rig there! Have you gotten it dirty yet?
I see your first installment of dues has been paid... your posted picture. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Now you just have to tell us what your first project is. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
From an informal poll here, the 4310 is a pretty popular machine.
My backhoe got installed this last week, so I have a few practice digs going on right now. Might have to plant something. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

RPatton, Nice looking outfit. I'm curious though why John Deere hasn't gone to the flexible rubber discharge chute on the 72" mower similar to the one on 60". The 62" on my X595 garden tractor has the rubber chute and it is a bit more forgiving if you "bump" into things. Still, you've got an impressive outfit.

Skeptic ,yes its dirty ,we are getting city water on our road and we put the water lines in to my dads house this spring but with all the rain here in western Pa. I hadn`t been able to back fill it completly ,so first thing I did was take the mowere off and put the rear blade on and got it muddy. then I had about an hour before dark so I put the brush hog on and did a sod waterway that goes down the middle of my farm . This was fri. night when I brought it home ,then sat. I used it for a couple hours with the brush hog again but had to bale hay in the afternoon so I was cut short on seat time.
Sun I went to lake erie for the day (previus plans prior to getting 4310) or I would not have gone. I am hopeing it doesn`t rain tonight and I can use it a bit ,we had a rough day of storms yesterday. I will have to get some dirty pics.

TCOWNER , how is the x595? is that the 4x4? they look really cool . how do you like it?
I am carful with the deck shoot but yes plastic would be nice , I have a cub cadet super garden tractor with a kubota diesel and 54" deck that has the plastic.
I have a track vac that I used on my 755 /60" and you had to take its shoot off but I think the 72 one will flip up out of the way. I don`t have very many obsticles to go around here but I can see it getting bent or worse yet the deck hangers getting out of whack.

I just traded my 4310 for a 4410 and it was dropped off last Friday. I went from a 60MMM to a 72MMM and was also wondering about the metal exit chute. I liked the plastic one on the 60.

I have yet to mow with the 72MMM. Been using the 48 hoe to dig some stumps. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif My exit chute came bolted down but has a spring on it. No mention in the manual about the chute use. Since it came setup that way I assume you mow with the chute bolted down?
